
Neil Sacker
Neil Sacker is an attorney and executive with more than three decades of experience operating at the intersection of law, entertainment, and business development. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, experiences that laid the foundation for his commitment to excellence, analytical rigor, ethical practice, and long-term relationship building.
Neil began his entertainment career at Warner Bros. Studios in 1991, where he developed deep expertise in negotiating and drafting complex agreements for major film productions, including Interview with the Vampire and The Fugitive.
In 1995, Neil joined Miramax Films as Executive Vice President and Head of Business and Legal Affairs. During his tenure, he negotiated the acquisition of rights to The Lord of the Rings franchise and worked on more than 75 films, including Scream, Good Will Hunting, and the Academy Award–winning The English Patient. Building on his legal foundation, Neil became known for his ability to think strategically “outside the box” and to solve complex problems constructively with creative and business partners.
Following Miramax, Neil served as Chief Operating Officer of Yari Film Group, where his responsibilities expanded beyond business and legal affairs to include oversight of film development and production. During this period, he worked on acclaimed projects such as the Academy Award–winning Crash and The Illusionist. He later continued these responsibilities as President of the Film Department, playing a key role in producing films including Law Abiding Citizen.
Prior to founding Sacker Entertainment Law, PC, Neil was an entertainment partner at several top-tier law firms, including Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Across each phase of his career, Neil has combined legal acumen with business insight, making him a trusted advisor and strategic leader within the entertainment industry.
